Ben Lomond

Ben Lomond is one of the most popular Munros (mountain over 3000 feet), being one of the easiest to climb and within easy reach of Glasgow and the central belt. It rewards the 30,000 people who make it to the top each year with fantastic views of the length of Loch Lomond and far into the hills to the north and the Trossachs to the east. The route has been well made but it is a tough mountain walk and requires proper equipment, map and navigation skills. The optional return down the Ptarmigan ridge can be muddy and is rocky in places making the going more difficult in poor visibility. The easier option is to return down the main path to Rowardennan where there is a visitor centre, toilets, hotel as well as lovely places to look out over the water of Loch Lomond.

Cruise the Loch

Whether you are looking to relax on the water; have a family day out near Glasgow or exercise along the ‘bonnie banks’ ~ Cruise Loch Lomond offer a variety of cruises on which you can escape the hustle and bustle, breathe the fresh air and enjoy the stunning scenery that is on our doorstep.
Cruises depart from a number of locations around the Loch allowing you to see the varied landscape from the water.  The dramatic northern fjord end of the Loch offers cruises in the heart of Rob Roy MacGregor country, with ruined MacFarlane strongholds on the islands and impressive Arklet Waterfalls.

West Highland Way

The West Highland Way links Milngavie, just outside Glasgow, to Fort William in the Highlands.  It passes from the lowlands, across the Highland Boundary Fault Zone and on into the Scottish Highlands.
