Loch Lomond Shores is a principal gateway to Scotland’s first National Park. It is Scotland’s most spectacular visitor destination combining the beautiful environment with an outstanding mixture of leisure and shopping experiences overlooking the majesty of Loch Lomond at Balloch.The site is open all year round and access is available to enjoy the stunning scenery all day every day. The buildings are open daily from 10am. There are a number of events held regularly which include tea dances and Kids crafts and soft play in the Gateway Centre

Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre

Situated at Loch Lomond Shores in Balloch not far from The Old Smiddy, you will find a modest and committed Bird of Prey Centre with over 28 species ranging from the Little Owl, Kestrels, Buzzards, Hawks, Falcons and Eagles and of course the Golden Eagle. The centre offers guided tours and close up experiences of the birds. A gift shop offers a selection of unique souveniers or why not have your picture taken with on of the birds. A ten-minute walk from our accommodation takes you into the middle of Balloch where there are many restaurants, Italian restaurants, Chinese and Indian and of course Macdonalds.
